FOB BONNY is under the jurisdiction of PATHFINDER in view of the Base’s span of control; lying between 0060 40.2’E and 007020’E. The location of the FOB is crucial for ships control and defense of Bonny Oil Terminal and also the Liquefied Natural Gas Terminal.  The FOB is also vital for monitoring and curbing pipelines vandalism and crude oil theft in the Cawthorne channel and its environs.  The FOB enhances the NN Total Spectrum Maritime Strategy (TSMS).
